Excellent book; well-written; unusual. In the beginning I thought I might not like it, but I was wrong. How did he think up this plot?

Well written and very interesting. Feliks is a Communist, leftist, part Jewish, Pole in Paris. Decades back he chose politics over people, and ideas over love. He stubbornly sticks to his beliefs until he is forced to listen to reason. Very thought provoking.
