This historical romance offers love with just a hint of swordplay. Heiress Briar Rose falls for handsome knight Gareth Hawke, who, unbeknownst to her, is poor and not the nobleman she imagines. The story then proceeds in the usual way.
Interesting early Wiggs. I really liked the first part, but in the second half I became irritated with the heroine. Someone else may feel differently.
