"A bride of honor" is book 2 of the Hathaway's. I liked this one but not as well as the first--"The making of a gentleman". But Ruth is a great author and it is well worth the read. Nice to read about the brother-Damian and also cont. with the sister Florence.

I enjoyed this book... I've not read anything else by this author before, so this book can definitely stand alone. I've read other books in this Steeple Hill line before, and not been very impressed, (as the "religious" parts often feel to me as they've been stuffed in after the fact by an editor or something & don't really "fit" into the story). This book had characters who exhibited a very believable faith, and it had a storyline that made me want to keep reading. I found myself really liking the hero of the story (although sometimes the heroine wasn't my favorite person!) Definitely held my interest, and I've looked up a few others by this author also.
