Bridge of Clay was written from the viewpoint of an older brother with no college education. The result is a rambling account of his younger brother's struggles. Though the book has very interesting characters, it desperately needs editing and better story flow.

This book is infuriating. It was very difficult to follow. From chapter to new chapter, you cannot figure out where it is or who is being featured. It leads to back tracking to figure out where you are, which leads to frustration, making it more time consuming than it's worth. It is choppy and poorly told, with no flow. In plenty of places, the topics that were introduced made no sense to the overall story. The only reason I finished it was to follow the underlying story. Although I enjoyed The Book Thief, it is unlikely that I would read this author again. D.
