This 3rd in the series was the scariest for me. It has been such a fun series! This one takes us to New Orleans with all the haunted, steamy, delightful atmosphere. I listened to the audiobook. The narration is so good, too! The voices of the Emissary ("We're coming for you") truly freaked me out! I highly recommend this in audio, even if you've read the books. It's quite an experience.

In this book we follow Cassidy and her film-making parents to New Orleans. Along for the ride, is of course, her ghostly friend Jacob. In this adventure, what they ran away from in Paris has followed them and they will have to face it and fight or give up a life that was given. The story was a lot of fun and quite spooky. The best part of this one, for me, was how it showed the value of friendship and doing everything you can to honor it. Love this series!
