Tana French is one of my favorite authors. Every one of her novels , "In the Woods","The Likeness", "Faithful Place", has been well-written, with great characters, and a unique, compelling mystery. "Broken Harbor" is no exception. I loved it, and could not put it down. I highly recommend that if you like murder mysteries with great characters, and wonderful, creepy, poignant, luxurious writing give this author a try! You can start with any of them, but make sure you read them all!or

One review said her writing was 'atmospheric'--interesting choice of words. A well-written murder mystery quite unlike any I've read before (and that's a real big plus right there)...solidly developed characters, good to the very end. I think what I felt most at the end was 'how in the world did she conceive of a book with a story like this one?' 'How did she know the story would work so well?' Atmospheric does describe it in one way and unique would be another. Good book!
