First of all, I would like to thank my son, Ray Smith, for this book. He looked at the cover and decided that I would love this one. I give him kudos for choosing a book, not only that I found intriguing, but for taking the chance that of the thousands of books I have read to choose one that I hadn't.

It all starts with a body .... upper body of a young boy somehow sewn to the bottom half of a deer. Certainly not something Detective Versado has never seen before, but it won 't be the last. More bodies are found, more disturbing match ups. Who is this monster and what drives him to do what he does?

I have to admit, that other than the discovery of the first body, it was slow going for awhile. So many characters were introduced that seemingly had nothing to do with the story. But the more I read, the more I could see how the author was taking her time in defining the characters and bringing them into my circle of reading. And the characters are exquisite and so credible.

This is a unique killer, one that I won't forget easily.

Double YUK. Read 100 pages and gave up. I didn't like anything about the book or characters. On to something much better. Don't know why there are so many people on the wish list.
