I love this series which manages to stay fresh with its rolling collection of main characters taking the center stage in turns. A pregnant Elena takes on a "minor job" which results in Toronto being infected with zombies, cholera and rabid rats. You need to start this series at the beginning as there is a lot of character resolution in this entry.

This book got pretty good reviews on Amazon, and I'm not sure why. I found it dull, and had to pick it up multiple times, in between reading other books, to finish it. I've never been engaged by Elena (I found Eve to be the most ambiguous and interesting character) and the "Jack the Ripper" angle didn't interest me at all. The plot turns into a series of "go here, do this, do that," and that loses appeal quickly. It's a decent story continuing the "Women of the Underworld" series, but it isn't a great book.

continuation of the women of the otherworld series. I have read all of the series and this one is also very entertaining. this series has not gone down hill like a lot of them do.

Armstrong's Women of The Otherworld series gets better and better. This time, we are centered on Elena again. A very pregnant Elena, who gets the pack involved in a deal to steal a letter supposedly written by Jack the Ripper over 100 years ago.But something happens and a portal is opened possibly letting Jack loose in modern-day Toronto.Another one that kept me up late, biting my nails, waiting to see what would happen next. Also, we get visits from Jaime Vegas and are introduced to a new Vamp, Zoe. At first, I didn't like Zoe, but I warmed to her and hope to see her in upcoming books. Are you listening, Kelley? lol
