This was the best childrens liturature i have ever read. The scene is Jerusalem in the time of Christ written in a fiction form for kids to be able to picture what it was like in those days. I could not put this book down. Very well written!

This is a FANTASTIC story! I read it to my children at story time and they loved it. It was very difficult to put down at times and extremely thought-provoking. We thoroughly enjoyed this book and the end was excellent. We think every family needs to read this book.

I read this as a teen and I still enjoyed reading it as much as when I was younger. I'll read it to my grandchildren as well. Daniel hates the Romans for what they have done to his country and family. He harbors vengeance in his heart and lives and breathes
for the end to their rule. As most Jews were wishing for the Messiah and someone to bring in G-d's kingdom, Daniel is no different but believes it's through the renegade group that he lives with in the hills. There are surprises that bring change in his life and many different turn of events that he never would have expected or their final outcome. I still had a hard time putting the book down because I couldn't remember what happened next and spent a few late nights reading.

I really enjoyed this book. It makes me think about how I would act if I had met Jesus Christ here on earth. It was an easy read.
