I liked this book a lot. It is written very well and you can feel like you are there in the era. The characters are carried well too (in my opinion) and this book gives you a good look at and an idea of life during the American Revolution. The only problem (and reason why I don't love the book) is stated in the title. I was really hurt when Sam died, but thats a personal thing...
All his life,Tim Meeker has lokked up to his brother Sam. Sam's smart adn brave, adn alwasy knows the right thing to do. In fact, everyone in town had admired Sam Meeker. Until now.
Now Sam is part of the new American Revoulution ary Army He talkes about defeating the British and vecoming independent and free. But not everyone in town wants to be a part of the new America. Most people are loyal suppoerters fo the English king- especially Tim adn Same' father. The war is raging, adn Tim knows he'll have to make a choice. But how can he choose- when it means fighting his father on one side, and fighting his brother on the other?
This book is good but.....it does have some sad parts in it....

Tim's brother Sam joined the Revolutionary War. Tim must choose what side he is going to be on during the War. Historical Fiction. middle/early high school
A great historical fiction book! An ultimate classic!
This book is in descent shape. I did however, lay a very light blue, green marker to close to it and the back cover has a line of it going down the edge of it, and the last few pages has just a touch on them. Other than that, the book is in pretty good shape, still worth reading.
