One of the best children's booksby Bill Martin and Illustrated by Eric Carle. Both my sons, ages 7 and 21 months enjoy this book. It does a wonderful job of teaching colors, animals and repetitive phases to childen.

As a teacher of very young children (0 months - 7 years) I love this book for color identification, animal sounds, sequencing. Eric Carle's illustrations are amazing - just as in all his books. We use this book and Polar Bear Polar Bear What Do You Hear?To tell musical stories by representing each new page with a different instrument.

This is a great book for teaching children about "memory". It takes you through several different colored animals and at the end, you repeat each one back. Simply adorable.

excellent first reader. The pictures are large and colorful, exciting enough to hold a pre-schooler's attention. My granddaughter demands I read it to her at least twice a day.

This book is the right size for little hands. Repeated readings, to children by adults, of this book will assist young children to learn to "read" the story back to others. Learning colors and animal names is very easy with this book.

Great book with repetition. My 2 year old was "reading" it to us after only hearing it a few times. Now she is 3 and loves to read it to her one year old brother. The text is short and rhythmic, with great pictures. It even holds my one year olds attention. He loves the animals.

Many parents have applauded their young child as they master the wonderful story BROWN BROWN, BROWN BEAR, WHAT DO YOU SEE? Now, Macmillan Young Listeners has taken the story one step further. This collection contains the audio book read by the actress Gwyneth Paltrow, as well as an oversized paperback copy of the famous story.

The book contains all the wonderful and simple illustrations that Eric Carle is famous for. It's the complete repetitive story of all the animals that are found, leading up to the surprising ending.

However, what this package has that previous versions of the story had been lacking is the enchanting reading of the story by Ms. Paltrow. Using her soft and flowing voice, the words that could be trying to a parent who has heard the story many, many times becomes a new and wonderful experience.

The book and CD will surely keep little ones occupied. Whether sitting on the bed or riding in the car, the repeating "what do you see" will keep them laughing and guessing for hours.
