Wonderful book. A little slow going at first, as it is written in dialect, but once you get used to the language, it's impossible to put down. Great characters, and a plot that though sad, has much to say about the importance of love and hope.
Kind of a wacky book. Odd story, odd ending, not that much buddha in the middle. I'm lukewarm about it.
well written. Would read more books by this author.
A working man Scot finds enlightenment through Buddhist meditation. The story is told from the several viewpoints, Jimmy (Da), Liz (Ma), and Anne Marie, a charming 12-year-old girl, all in colloquial Scot voice.
