This is a delightful, charming, twisty read with lovable characters and, as expected, murder, but also an emphasis on the importance of community and friendship.

I love this series and raced through this book. I've spent quite a while staring at my screen, trying to come up with exactly the right thing to say, but somehow I'm not getting there. At any rate, I loved this entry in the series, I love the characters, so quirky and eccentric. I love the understated humor and the improbable situations, and I liked all the twisty bits in this plot. I love the dialogue - I giggled the whole way through Viktor's burial scene. I just really, really like these books.

Yesterday I talked with someone whose book club had just read the first in the series, THE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB, and she hated it. Put her to sleep multiple times. We stared at each other in bafflement. Oh well everyone's different.

This is #3 of the Thursday Murder Club series and it was as good as the 1st two. It's another "can't put it down read." It is funny as well as intriguing. Joyce is a hoot, and I wish I was still as sharp as Elizabeth is at her age. I look forward to #4.
