This is a delightful volume of short stories and essays. I had already read it once before. I also read some of the stories in other anthologies. They're all superb! Alas, Lawrence Block has stated in this book that he has probably penned his last Bernie story. That's a loss for you and me. We can celebrate the fact that we were able to read the stories of this complete but likable scoundrel.
