An outrageously funny whodunit. Bernie Rhodenbarr meets the lovely Ilona, the woman of his dreams, who is also a Bogart film fan. Bernie takes on a seemingly simple heist job. He fails and then finds his employer dead. To make matters worse Ilona disappears. ...............Play it again Sam......

Another great Bernie Rhodenbarr mystery. Bernie always finds himself at the wrong place at the wrong time, & this one is no exception. Great wit.

This is a series featuring full-time bookseller and part-time burgler Bernie Rhodenbarr. It is a clever mystery and an homage to one of the greatest screen legends ever. If that wasn't enought, it is also a romance!

This is one of Block's best about burglar/bookseller Bernie Rhodenbarr. Two seemingly unconnected parts of his life -- a mysterious Eastern European beauty with whom he see Bogart films nightly and a commission to steal some documents -- come together in a fun and unexpected way.
