This book was surprisingly good. I picked it up from a thrift store a couple days ago and just read it all in one sitting. It's definitely not my usual type of read, but I'm glad I did!
While the romance between Lisa and Mac is predictable from their first meeting, it doesn't overpower the plot of the story at all.
The actual crime story is quite compelling and the progress of the case develops smoothly. Without spoiling too much, we know the culprit from pretty early on and it seems impossible that our detectives will ever catch their extremely intelligent villain.
