This is a "Golden Guide" so is a small book, but contains 433 species. The accurate illustrations are great.

An old book, first published in 1964, the drawings are OK and they include the caterpillar, which many modern butterfly books do not also include. A helpful guide to naming the butterflies in my yard, the book was last updated in the 70's but is still missing some butterflies/moths.
