This is the 2nd book in the crime tells seris and involves one of the sisters, Cady. Her job is to investigate drugged horses at a racetrack and clear the client's friend's name. a Texas sheriff is in town supporting the same friend and falls for Cady. He's an alpha male though not as dominating as Kieran in lyric's cop and Dante in calista's men. He's actually experimenting with Cady in a few firsts for both of them and some of his lines are actually humorous. I like the stories in these along with the steamy scenes.
