As the description said, they did revise the map colors and symbols, I'm not sure whether I like them better or not, although we travelled the length of California and found a couple of back roads we hadn't taken before, so I guess it worked out. It has some "overlap" on each page, so there's not as much of that irritating problem of trying to follow across pages.
