Three years ago on a hunting trip with his brother in Canada, Jason was bitten by a wolf. Now a werewolf, he is forced to leave his career and family behind as he searches for a way to break the curse. This is the sequel to the story "Midnight Serenade" by Ronda Thompson in the After Twilight anthology with Christeen Feehan and Amanda Ashley. It's a werewolf story. I totally enjoyed Midnight Serenade and was looking forward to the sequel.
However, this sequel just blew big chunks. I didn't even finish reading it because I didn't like the way the author tried to incorporate or make up her own "native american" mythology to backup her storyline.
None of the "native" stuff made any sense at all if you know anything about Native people or even if you did a little research. Other people might like it tho, but I sure didn't.

Pretty much a typical romance novel with more of an unusual plot than I expected. I thought the idea of having a group of people living isolated from current society a change of pace. The ending was a nice twist but not totally unexpected.

Another great book by Ronda Thompson. She weaves a wonderful story with descriptions that make you feel part of the story.
Jason and Tala are not as different as he thinks and her tribe would have him believe. They fall in love under not so great circumstances and when they need each other most they stand side by side. This is a story about deciding what your destiny will be.
