I love this author. Chris Carter is an awesome writer. This book is a masterpiece. If you enjoy serial killers, a great plot and amazing writing, you will love this book, too.
This may be one of the best books I have ever read. WOW! A real roller coaster ride. I'd give it about a hundred stars if possible. Robert Hunter is a great detective. He has insomnia and spends most of his awake time working on special murder cases. This book will keep you up all night. I finished it and can now get a good nights rest. Dang it, I would rather stay up all night reading it again.

Tanya Kaitlin gets a video call request from her best friend, Karen Ward. Karen is gagged and bound to a chair. Tanya is told that if she disconnects, if she looks away, he will come after her next. As Hunter and Garcia investigate the threats, they are thrown into a rollercoaster of evil, chasing a predator who scouts the streets and social media networks for victims, taunting them with secret messages and feeding on their fear. The book had short chapters with cliffhangers that made you want to read on. With great pacing, the killer was hard to guess. Mr. J was a very interesting character and a great red herring. Looking forward to the next in the series. Highly recommended.
