This is my first time with this author and i really really enjoyed her writing. This is a fantastic read. I read it in one day, long after lights should of been out because i cound not put it down. All 3 parts are about the same 2 families as they get older.. It is smooth and interesting. Callie lives with Grandma in the hills, no running water, life is ruff but she is smart and thankful, working in a small resturant to bring in a little extra money so she can finish high school. Morgan lives in Altanta and has a summer home in the mountains, is wealthly, famous and a man looking to help others with his fortune. He sends Callie to College and watches her grow into a beautiful woman and checks with her yearly to see how she has used her oppertunities he has afforded her. Of course an attraction grows. There is no mush to drag on and on and each page i read as fast as i could to see what was going to happen next. Grandma has to be won over as she believes Summer folk don't mix with year-rounders for good reason. I truely loved this book. It is not "preachy" with religion, so it matters not what religion you are, but gentle in the reminder that God is there for us all. It is now among one of my favorite reads. I put this book on the order somewhat close to Where The Heart Is by Billie Letts, if you read that and liked it you will love this.
