I am a big fan of madeleine L'Engle and this coming of age tale is especially lovely when listened to on audio CD. The narrator does an excellent job of capturing a young teenage girl's voice and spirit as she navigates her way through adolescence and into adulthood, falling in love for the first time, witnessing her parents as troubled people instead of demi-gods, and negotiating friendships with people who are very different from anyone she has ever met. Highly recommended!
