The back summary of the book doesn't do this story justice! A wonderful DC-setting romance mixed with a bit of Santa Claus mystery!

I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read story. It is much like the movie Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn and the characters in the book even refer to the classic movie. It is not an indepth story, but very light and definitely carries the spirit of Christmas. Perfect escape for this time of the year.

This is a fast read and a typical romance. The plot is a little predictable.

Loved it!!! But then I like every one of Janet Dailey's books.

I was surprised that this book seemed a little preachy - it IS a Christmas book, but the religious parts seemed awfully drawn out and didn't need to be to add to the story line. Frankly, I like Dailey's books but was disappointed in this one.

This book has a different cover than the one shown, but the ISBN is the same.

Life in the White House means never having a moment to yourself. As the President's daughter and official hostess, Jocelyn Wakefield longs to escape the media circus that surrounds her every move for just one day. Impossible? Not with a wig, some very different clothes, a secret tunnel and a grandmother with a butler, both of whom are willing accomplices...

But being anonymous in Washington, D.C> at Christmas time may turn out to be an impossible dream after all when she collides with political columnist Grady Tucker--a man who could publish her exploits in papers nationwide. B ut Jocelyn is about to discover that Grady is more than just a journalist looking for a story--and that the magic of love can never be disguised...
