Tess Morgan had journeyed across the sea to the Maryland colony in search of a better life. Instead, the brave British innocent finds a battle-torn land...and passion in the arms of Raven, the gentle Lenape warrior who saves her from a savage fate.

CAPTIVE DESIRES...

But Tess is bound by her promise to another. And Raven dares not trust this woman whose touch has enslaved him, yet whose blood vow to his people has set him on a path of rage and vengeance. This book started out great. Fast paced action, and the opening scene grabs one's attention. The heroine is strong and independant--admirable traits. The hero at first was wonderful. He was compassionate, kind and caring. However, to my dismay, he soon becomes hard and and not terribly likeable. After about 100 pages, the book began going downhill and there was no improving after that point. It was like a downward spiral. I wish Ms. Faulkner would have kept the hero kind and decent. While he was never outright cruel, I lost most of my interest in him and finished the book more out of a sense of obligation as opposed to finishing it because I enjoyed it.
