THE BEST book about body changes for pre-teen girls. It talks about body changes without going into the topics of sex and dating, as so many of the books do. I recommended it to all of my friends with pre-teens and they all agreed. I can't say enough good things about it except I wish thay had written an equivalent one for boys.

excellent, tasteful, and would be welcomed by both the child and the (shy) parent. covers all sorts of topics, from changing body parts, to eating disorders. I can't recommend it enough.

This book was the greatest addition to our daughters' library. This book covers everything for tween girls in a tactful but straighforward manner. Both my daughters and I found the information in the bookful extremely helpful.

Even though this book is a good 15 years old (I've had it since I was a "tween", and I'm now in my mid 20s), it is still relevant. It tells girls what they need to know about their bodies: not only the facts on puberty, but also healthy eating, fitness skin care tips, how to measure bra sizes, and more. And in a conversational style that makes you want to listen.

I didn't know how I was going to talk to my daughter about the changes her body was going thru. Then her doctor recommended this book. Best thing I did was to get this book. My daughter and I read this together and we had such a great bonding experience. Helped her not only understand things because it is written at a level which she could, but brought us closer together And now she has opened up to me even more about everything.

Definitely a must have book for the girl starting to sprout into a young lady and the parent ho isn't sure how to explain everything.

This is the BEST book for preteen girls. It goes over all aspects of puberty and hygiene in a way that is clear and factual, but in a nonthreatening way. I only wish there was a book just like it for boys!

My 10 year old daughter loved this book! She said it taught her things that I had already told her but in a more cool way. I guess it's better to hear things from writers as well as mothers. Highly recommended! Now I don't have to keep asking - did you brush your teeth? - put deodorant on? - etc...

This was a great book for tweens to read on their own or more preferably with a trusted adult. I've used it with some of my young female clients (and parents) and it was very helpful in explaining how our bodies work and "the care and keeping" of our bodies. It also provided several opportunities for the girls to share their feelings or thoughts about other subjects (e.g. peers, possible dating interests, sexuality, etc.). I wish I had this book when I was a young girl.

I had a similar book to this when I was a child. I ordered this to give to my child, and having read through it I know it will be very helpful in teaching her about the changes taking place within her body.

Excellent book for my 10 year old daughter and I. She does not like to read, and I'd find her sneaking it into bed at night. She's read every word! :) It helped to open conversation about wearing a bra, showers, hair care, etc. Things we've been talking about...but now she's listening.

Beautiful gift copy!
I bought this book because I was impressed by the head-to-toe body care topics it covered. It touches on everything from hair care, to face cleansing, to washing your hands, to exercising and nutrition. It broach the topic of starting a girl's period
.It covered it honestly, straightforward and not intimidating at all. I think it helpes because it was only a minor focus of the entire body-care book. (A brief introduction to what a period is and how to handle it and the fact that it is completely NORMAL and all girls go through it). I
I highly recommend this book for parents and preteens and am happy I bought it.
