I did a search of the forum to see if Sagan's name had been mentioned, and it had not, so I'm throwing this out there for any science nuts who might frequent this forum. Carl Sagan (and other scientists) autotuned to some amazing synth music. The first time I heard Glorious Dawn I was brought to tears. Hopefully the efforts of John Boswell touch a few more scientific souls here. Last Edited on: 3/2/10 12:27 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

I have been reading a couple of Sagan's books, so I came to this forum specifically to seen if anyone had anything to say about him or his work. It was interesting that this was the first (and only) topic in the forum. Thanks for the link. |

Carl Sagan is famous for his series COSMOS that was on PBS in the 1980's and reshown since then. It is now on DVD an available at netflix. They are re-doing cosmos with a new scientist/journalist and they are working on that version now.

The new Cosmos is being done by this guy who is also a scientist and has also written several books on science, has had many TV appearances, and overall is about as awesome as Carl Sagan himself. Here he talks about meeting Sagan for the first tme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeqrN3Bfro8 For future searchers, his name is Neil deGrasse Tyson. |
