I had a hard time finishing this one. It starts out pretty good, but I think that the author tries to take on a story with too many details, and it bogs down in the middle. The ending was completely melodramatic and silly. It had some potential, but I don't think it ever really hit the mark for me.

I have been clamoring to read this book ever since I heard it was set in Ireland. Little know fact? Im Irish. In case you were wondering, thats where the Irish part of my blog name comes from. Plus I heard it had an awesome romance in it, toss in that stunning cover, and needless to say I had this one pre-ordered months before it came out so I could get it in my hands the day it came out. I am happy to announce Leigh Fallon knocked it outta the park in her debut.

The story drew me in from the beginning. There was something about Megan that I just fell in love with. She has wit, tenacity, and vulnerability in spades. I loved discovering Ireland with her, and the writing was so descriptive and lush I felt like I was right there with her. Fallon artfully describes the setting so much that it almost made Ireland a character. I love when a writer can transport me to a place I only dreamed of, only to blow my dreams away.

What can I say about Adam that hasnt been gushed over by bloggers all over the world? Hes, simply put, amazing and the ideal YA boyfriend. Dark, mysterious, loyal, and heartbreakingly loving. My only complaint was I almost got whiplash by how quick he and Megan fell in love, but that I easy to overlook because they are just magic together. The entire DeRis family pulled me in, and I cannot wait to read more of them in the next book!

Why is it that the hardest reviews to write are about the books you love? Thats how I feel about this one. Its sweet and exciting and addictive. With this smashing novel, Fallon has reserved space on my bookshelf for all time. If she writes it? Ill be getting it, and you should, too!

This book took my breath away. I am so in love with the characters, the Irish setting, beautifully described, I didn't want to see this end, but since there is a book 2, I am immediately ordering that one as well.
This was exactly what I was looking for, when I look to read a book.

The Book synopsis,"When Megan Rosenberg moves to Ireland, everything in her life seems to fall into place. After growing up in America, she's surprised to find herself feeling at home in her new school. She connects with a group of friends, and she is instantly drawn to darkly handsome Adam DeRís.

But Megan is about to discover that her feelings for Adam are tied to a fate that was sealed long ago--and that the passion and power that brought them together could be their ultimate destruction."

I highly recommend this book!
