though I have seen negative reviews about this book I enjoyed it very much and would highly recomend it
12th century Normandy setting - as a fierce battle for the crown erupts. A powerful knight and his innocent bride, who has been swept from the convent after her only sister dies---she is sent to take her place in a dynastic marriage. Full of historical details and a great love story.
After her sister's death Nell de Bonville is taken from the convent and takes her sisters place as Roger de Roche's bride.

I have always enjoyed books by Joan Wolf. And I wasn't disappointed.
Because of her brother and sisters death Nell is brought home from the convent and is being married off in place of her sister. Ofcourse as in all romance novels he turns out to be a kind lord. Quick read but its romantic how they get to know each other in their marriage. Their coupling is not steamy but Wolf lets you know that he's hot by the description of his body. Not the best sexy read but OK. Enjoy.
12th century Normandy - a a fierce battle for the crown erupts, a powerful knight and his innocent bridge will discover their destinies are passionately entwined...
A girl about to take her vows as a nun must instead take vows as a wife when her elder sister dies and she is required to take her place in an advantageous marriage, against a backdrop of civil unrest as Empress Mathilda tries to take the kingdom from King Stephen. Well written and an entertaining plot.

Classic Joan Wolf. Always a sure thing.
An early Joan Wolf medieval. Not her best, but still something about it kept me up late reading. The hero and heroine are strangers when they marry at the beginning of the book, so this is a story of their developing relationship.
