Aunt Tally is celebrating her 100th birthday at her old alma mater, William Woods. Of course there is murder, mayhem, and sculduggery revolving around this great event. New characters introduced were interesting, and I found I did not have much inkling of who had done it and why. Another good addition to the series.

Harry gets in the middle of college alumnae politics that end up in murder. There are lots of suspects, as usual, but the perpetrator surprised me. The book was a little slow in getting my attention but by the middle of the book, there was plenty of action and clues. Of course, I love Tucker, Pewter and Mrs. Murphy and all the help they provide. :)
I've always loved the adventures of Harry, Mrs. Murphy, Pewter and Tucker, so I jumped at the chance to read Cat of the Century, even before I saw all of the great reviews. I can't share the praise for the book. In fact, I could barely finish it. It was hard to get into, slow to develop, and the mystery seemed like it was secondary to the frequent political rants. Definitely not a keeper in my book.
I almost did read this book becase of all othe bad reviews an amazon.com. It was not that bad, I still enjoyed it, not as much as previous ones, but I still enjoyed it. Hopefully the next one will be more like the previous ones.

i thought this was the best of her last few books. i loved the trip to missouri & learning about the college there. all her books are enjoyable, some more enjoyable than others & this was one of the best. i LOVE aunt tally!

As usual with the Mrs. Murphy stories, a great story, loved all of the characters. Nice old southern style, great cozy.
