A bit different than the other books in this series (The Devil Riders). Most of the story takes place in Egypt, where the heroine is masquerading as a boy. I enjoyed the depiction of Egypt in the 19th century. I thought it was more respectful of the culture than most, because the "locals" were real people and played major roles in the plot, they were not just caricatures of Arabs. It's not my favorite Gracie book, but definitely worth a read if you like this author.
Anne Gracie does not disappointment. This is the first book I've read from her, and it is touching and sweet. A book that's packed with 'awww' moments.
I love Anne Gracie books and this is one of the bride series. I would recommend it as good reading.
