What isit about cats?!? They certainly lend themselves well to mysterious happenings. This is a collection of short stories written by some of the best names in Sci-Fi history. Each one has their own particular "spin" in the main character - the cat. Short stories are not really my favorite form, but these were all well done. There is no similiar thread winding through these.

Short story collection about cats. Edited by Andre Norton and Martin H. Greenberg.
This is an amusing collection of cat-based fantasy and science fiction short stories. If you like both cats and SF/fantasy reading, it's well worth your time.
There are a few gems in this collection. I especially enjoyed Mercedes Lackey's "Skitty", a Dick Whittington tale transferred to a sci-fi universe. (Apparently the story was quite popular since I recently discovered a slew of sequels to this story online.)

Great selection of cat stories, I enjoyed them all.
