"Believe it or not, I do know how to fish," I said.

It is always pleasure to return to Broken Rope and visit with Betts and her grandmother, Miz. Gram's Country Cooking School is on spring break but that does not stop the ghosts from coming to town to add a spark to everyday life. A cowboy poetry convention is in town. One of the actors is killed during a scripted play downtown. The appearance of a Pony Express rider's ghost along with Betts personal ghost, Jerome, spur on the investigation.

As much as I love this series, it kinda creeps me out that Betts is in love with Jerome. I want her to confess to Cliff and get on with their relationship. There was a lot of good information about the Pony Express that makes me want to dig a little more into its history.

Very good addition to the series.

I loved this book in the series. The Pony Express has always interested me. I was raised in different locations in AZ, Yuma being the one before I married and left home. There was an old building outside of Winterhaven, CA, just west of Yuma, AZ, that was said to be an old Pony Express Station on the way to CA. We thought it was probably that far south because of the weather conditions in the Sierra Nevada in the winter time. The snow there is very deep and the mountains very treacherous. True or not, I never did know. Maybe I will look it up one day. Great series and good story for me. The old west is very interesting to me and I'm a great John Wayne fan.
