This is an excellent review of the basic beliefs of the Catholic Church written by now Cardinal Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington D.C. It is written in an easy to ready and down to earth style. An excellent book for adults who want to brush up on their knowledge of Church teaching, who are joining the Church, or returning to the Church. The book is broken into 83 short chapters followed by discussion questions. Chapters stand alone and can be read or used in any order to understand, emphasize or address specific questions about the faith. Some of the 83 topics include: Sacred Scripture, the Creed and the Councils, The Attributes of God, The Cross and Our Redemption, The Public Life of Jesus, The Role of the Laity, The Role and Mission of the Pope, The Real Presence, Order of the Mass, The Human Capacity for God, Mary-Mother of Jesus-Mother of God, Christian Freedom, Marriage, Family Life, Sacramentals, The Rosary, and The Ten Commandments.
