Very clever use of words - it really got my students thinking!
After reading William Steig's CDB, I was very excited to learn there was a second book.
But after reading it, I am not as excited about this one. Here's why: the original book was geared towards children. I believe this book is geared more towards adults. Some of the pages are less child appropriate for instance the page opposite of Heaven is "L." Another page has a donkey that is kicking, and the text is a wild "S" another page has a scarecrow that is hung by a noose from a tree "F-E-G" and another has two adults yelling at each other. "U R O-D-S. U R S-N-9"
I just was a bit disappointed. I will be re-posting the book for someone else instead of keeping it.
On the other hand the pictures and messages are clever and quite fun. My favorite was of a young man telling his wife "U R N I-D-L Y-F"
