I love Christmas and I read alot of books about this wonderful holiday season but this book was especially fun because it continues the Cedar Cove saga. The theme of the book mirrors the nativity story but it also has alot of humor thrown in. Love the way she intertwines the main characters with the new characters and now they will be featured in her now books. This is another great book from Macomber! A must read for all her faithful fans.

Awsome christmas story that leaves an opening for another book. I love this Cedar Grove series. I believe that it will be continueing for a long long time. You get hooked into the people of this town. I bought this book and in two days I had read it.

This is part of the Cedar Cove series. I put is about #8 1/2 in the series. It takes place after #8 - 8 Sandpiper Way and before book #9 comes out. This is a stand alone book, but definitely incorporates characters and a few plot lines from the series. An enjoyable Christmas story.
A quick read. Debbie Macomber gives us the readers a few new characters.
Mary Jo goes to Cedar Cove for the first time. Due to a man she fell in love with. Only to find a town full of nice people. She meets Mack McAfee whom helps her out very much.
Can't wait for another Cedar Cove book.

As is the tradition for Debbie Macomber, we have another Christmas story that is sure to grab readers by the heart and add a little warmth to the holiday season. The fact A Cedar Cove Christmas takes place is my favorite fictional town, just adds to my delight.
May Jo Wyse is a young woman in a tough situation. David Rhodes got her pregnant and then made lots of promises and said all the right things. Her three overprotective older brothers plan to make the father pay for getting her pregnant, no matter how much Mary Jo begs them to leave it alone.
Now, two weeks before her due date, Mary Jo is in Cedar Cove on Christmas Eve where David said he will be to meet her. However she gets more than she bargained for when he is a no-show. Mary Jo is stuck in town overnight, but there is no room at the inn, so to speak.
Grace Harding takes pity on Mary Jo and takes her home where Grace and her husband Cliff have the whole family staying. They offer Mary Jo the room over the stable, where they are boarding all of the animals for Cedar Cove's Live Nativity. Add to the already crazy holiday, Mary Jo goes into labor with only young paramedic Mack McAfee by her side. Only in Cedar Cove can such an unusual Christmas bring about the magic of love and miracles.
Debbie Macomber is already well known for her wonderful stories, especially her annual Christmas book. Now she has another winner with a modern retelling of the original Christmas story in A Cedar Cove Christmas. Readers will recognize everyone from that very first Christmas in the various residents of Cedar Cove and surrounding areas.
One of the very best things about Macomber's series is that all of the characters become friends and each book is a chance to catch up on their lives. All of our beloved characters are present. Well except for Charlotte Jefferson Rhodes, who is on a Christmas cruise with husband Ben. While irrepressible Charlotte may not be physically present, she and Ben play a pivotal role in the story. I enjoyed catching up with Cliff and Grace, Jack and Olivia, and all of the other friendly townsfolk however, even if I had to get the news about Charlotte second hand from her family.
It is important to note, there are some events and circumstances mentioned in A Cedar Cove Christmas that are spoilers to anyone not caught up on the series.
While A Cedar Cove Christmas is lighter and shorter and takes place over a much shorter period of time than the usual Cedar Cove book, all of the charm and subtle humor that mark the series are present on every single page. A Cedar Cove Christmas is a heartwarming story of love, forgiveness, and acceptance during the most wonderful time of the year.

I especially enjoyed the book because I had just read all the Cedar Cove series, and added this one in as a Christmas bonus. It was a quick read,I finished it in a day. A few new characters were added, and I look forward to new Cedar Cove books that will update me on the lives of these new characters.

Another great book in this series. Although it wasn's Christmas time when I read it, it still made me feel joyous about the season and the characters were very special as always.
I fell in love with Cedar Cove and it's people. Since December, I have read the other 8 books about this town. I love Christmas stories and this was one of the best

I am just finishing this book. I have read all the other Cedar Cove books and then realized the gap in the story from not reading A Cedar Cove Christmas. It is really good and I love the First Christmas tie in that runs through it.

When I read what the story was about I thought it might be sort of corny. But Debbie Macomber pulls it off & it's a very enjoyable easy read. The Cedar Cove series is my favorite series of hers, so to get an extra book this year is definitely a Christmas present. About a young woman, Mary Jo, who lives with her 3 brothers. She is pregnant & her brother are determined to track down the babies father & make him own up to their sister. Mary Jo finds herself alone on Christmas Eve in the town of Cedar Cove not knowing anyone. Will anyone take her in? And will her brothers find her in time?
Super quick read. Not as good as the other Cedar Cove books, but still very cute. The story takes place all in one day--Christmas Eve. Introduced are Mary Jo Wyse and her three brothers--no doubt to be seen in later books. She comes to Cedar Cove in search of David Rhodes, but instead meets Grace, Olivia, Mack McAfee, and a few other locals.
Now waiting for the next installment of the series...

I love reading Debbie's Christmas series. Very good and kept me reading.
Love the Cedar Cove series!
Another great christmas novel from Debbie Macomber. If you have'nt read any books in the cedar cove series you should seriously consider trying it out. The charcters are great and after a few books they become like family.
I really enjoyed this book. It's part of the Cedar Cove series I have been reading and it gives you the history of the series so that you do no feel lost reading the book out of the order it was written in. Would recommend this book to my friends.
A wonderful story about Cedar Cove and a pregnant stranger who arrives in town on Christmas Eve. It's part of the series - between 8 and 9.
Another simple Christmas read, I always love sappy romances at the holidays. This one is a carry on from some previous stories she has written, but I had not read, didn't seem to matter though. Story was a little too cheesy following too closely the story of the birth of Jesus, but it was still a fun read.
A great christmas story. Will definatley put you in the christmas spirit. Will make you think of The Blessed Mary on the night Jesus was born.
A lovely heart warming story of family and friends at christmas. A small town miricale.
Debbie Macomber
Writes a comfortable story of smalltowns and ordinary people whose lives touch every one in her stories. Sweet, heartwarming, endearing and sometimes sad. Her stories offer umcomplicated reads and likable characters. A Cedar Cove Christmas is no exception. A nice visit with characters during the holidays.

This is a wonderful story that parallels the nativity tale. It is great to read around the holidays. I do have to say though, that I found the story to be very predictable. Other than that, it was very sweet and endearing. I am just one of those people who prefers stories that are a little more unpredictable.
Another wonderful read with some new characters. A joyous Christmas story!
Anyone who loves family stories and romance stories should for sure read this one. It will warm your heart.
I really enjoyed this book. It made me want to read others in this series.
Welcome back to the town of Cedar Cove! For this story, an unwed mother about to give birth plans to track down the father of her child and confront him about the lies he's been feeding her the past 9 months. Unfortunately, he's not in town, and neither are his parents. Since it's Christmas Eve, all the motels, hotels and inns are full. She manages to meet some ultra-nice townsfolk who lend a room at their farm--and she's right above a barn filled with animals from the local nativity pagent (including an ornary camel).
As luck would have it, the baby decides to come two weeks early...on Christmas Eve. She and the paramedic sense some good vibes between each other. Her three brothers (their last name is WYSE), searching high and low to find her, get lost several times trying to locate her. Until they notice the fireworks set off by the folks where their sister is giving birth. So, they arrive, laden with gifts, to visit the new baby. The only thing missing was the manger...
This was a cute story and a quick read.

I enjoyed the sweet sentiment of this book. I'm sure every Macomber fan will love it too. A very quick read.
Another great Macomber book!!! Great to read anytime of year.
very well written & cute.. a feel good story appropriate for the season.. I had just finished the 8th Cedar Grove book so I was truly "in the groove." A very quick read though - less than 24 hours. thanks PBS - I would have hated to pay full price for a book I finished in no time!!
This story was a fast read, short and sweet story.
Mary Jo comes to Cedar Cove hoping to find David, the father of her baby, and his parents. All were out of town. Grace Harding, the librarian took Mary Jo to her home..Unexpectedly, Mary Jo has her baby at Grace's ranch, delivered by a young and caring EMT Mac. Mary Jo's baby is born on Christmas Eve above the stable. Mary Jo and her baby have a happy Christmas after all.
This is a great Christmas story and a beautiful gift book.
