I needed this book for a class I took. It was required reading. I found it acceptable to the term and explainations of concepts however the examples were below par. Many of them were not realistic and did not add to my understanding of the concepts. Real life examples would have better suited the purpose.
We also were assigned chapter readings out of order. For our first session, we were assigned chapters 1 and 5. Taking the chapters in this book out of order was definately more difficult to understand. If this is rquired reading for you for a course, I suggest you spend extra time up front and read the chapters in order even if you have to cram reading in the first couple weeks. It would have been so much easier. Good Luck!
