This is a wonderful book! I read mystery anthologies by the hundreds and collect them (once I've read a book, though, it gets sold or traded). Of all those books read, this is one of the finest.
I love stories from the 80s, when the norm was still for stories to have plots and make sense.
This book contains one of my all-time favorite stories, Linda Barnes' "Lucky Penny." Many of the others would make a list of my favorites.

This is a great collection of short stories, including writers like Peter Lovesey, Ruth Rendell, George V. Higgins, Lawrence Block, and Sara Paretsky. Marcia Muller and Bill Pronzini edited this collection, and each of them has a story in the book. Enjoy!
