This is a very silly book. While some of the silliness is intentional - the villains, known as "C**ts, are all lean, blond and slutty while the heroes, known as the Klatch, are brunette, voluptuous and "free minded." - much of it is just, well, kind of dumb.
The heroine has spent her life living in the shadow of her beautiful family who constantly tear her down for being fat and ugly. Shortly before her 24th birthday she discovers she is the long lost princess from another world who was stolen away by the C**ts when she was a baby. Unlike earth, in her home world the heroine is the epitome of beauty as well as being the most powerful one of her kind. I found her to be a big old bore. The hero is your standard romance cover beefcake type who's defining personality trait is his desire to sex it up with the heroine.
The plot is not terrible but the writing is amateurish at best and the characters are flat and one dimensional. There are many graphic sex scenes - M/F and F/F but they come off as gratuitous and not very sexy, IMO. I found myself skimming through them.
Bad writing, shallow characters, and unexciting sex scenes kept me from being engaged by this book.

Pretty cover. Couldn't get through Chapter 2. Don't bother.

Good book. Plenty of steam and really heat. Story line a little far far out at times but overall pretty good.

Creative and explicit.

Not sure why C***s has to be used in the telling of this story... Strange choice but it's the author's privilege, I guess. Once I got over that distraction, the story progresses alright. Interesting enough that I want to see if the following books were written.

This may have been erotica with a lot of sex, sex and more sex but it had a good story and romance to go with it. I liked that they jumped right into the story and didn't bog you down with a lot of back story but worked it in as you read. I loved that the bad race is called the c*nts...it's funny. I look forward to reading the rest of the trilogy.

Wowie Zowie. Totally hot book, not for prudes. I hate the "C" word and I cringed every time I read it, but it suited a purpose. If you can ignore the "C" word, and you like hot stories, read this book. Interesting story line. You have to be ok with reading about F/F scenes. It's not for me, but the story line more than made up for any short-comings... I will read the rest of the series...at least for now. I'm interested to see how this all pans out.

Ok I admit I didn't know what to expect with this one and got it on a blind leap of faith. This was a bit strange in the way that it goes into the science fiction area of other worlds that have portals to our world but the romance, suspense and sexual bits didn't leave you disappointed. I had never read a Cassie Ryan novel, but I will be looking to reading a few more before making any kind of decision about how well I like her writing.
If you like books that take you to another realm then this one is for you! This book takes place on Earth and on a planet called Tador where sex is what sustanes it's inhabitants and orgasms aren't the most important part of the sexual act.

I wouldn't waste a credit on this sci-fi erotica. I'm not a prude and I've read all sorts of erotica, but this book not only has a boring story, but the erotic aspects are boring as well. The villains in the story are called C**ts. Really? The author apparently just couldn't think of another name for that group. When authors resort to such silly tricks, I know right off the bat I'm reading a juvenile book. I was glad to trade it away.
Interesting story of a long lost princess, finally found.
