This story happens when Miles Vorkosigan is a young man. Most of the action takes place on Cetaganda, where Miles, as a high-ranked Vor lord, has been sent as an envoy of his government in a mostly honorary capacity. Miles doesn't know much about taking things easy and functioning in an honorary capacity.
It's hard to say anything about Miles's adventures without spoiling them for anyone who hasn't read them. In my opinion, "Cetaganda" is a fitting piece in Miles's life. Definitely, read this. Read -all- of Miles's adventures!

Good political intrigue. Strong female characters. Some surprising twists. Very tight writing, as usual. I admit I didn't quite like this one as much as some of the others, but I still enjoyed it and read it in a week.
liked this story, lots of suspicion, brain work and comedy
Space Opera at its Finest. Man can Lois McMaster Bujold write and Miles is the perfect hero.
