I enjoyed meeting and getting to know June and Day in the first book, LEGEND. So I knew I wanted to continue on with this trilogy. And although I didn't enjoy PRODIGY quite as much (it really only hooked me at the end!), I was still invested enough to read the final novel of the series.
CHAMPION sees Day and June dealing with his illness, and the war between the Republic of America and the Colonies. I enjoyed the bit of history thrown in, explaining how the former United States of America split into two separate regions at war with each other.
Although I felt the story ran a bit long through the middle, I do think June and Day's relationship progressed nicely, with a pretty satisfying, fan-friendly ending.
Marie Lu is definitely an author to watch! (B-)

The final book in the Legend trilogy, Champion does not disappoint. June discovers her true calling as a soldier, and Day comes to terms with his illness.
Another page turner.
The ending was very surprising for me, it reminded me of Aligiant, then it completely changed and I was very happy it did. This is a great series and I highly recommend.
