The star system is a bit odd for this review, as I don't know that "liking" the book makes sense. This book is well written and flows easily. Lawless unflinchingly tells her story, without excess. Throughout the book I asked myself if her childhood could be helped in today's society, but no doubt there are still children being raised in households with undiagnosed or untreated psychiatric issues. How the sisters handled their world shows an incredible strength and resilience.
