This book is incredibly interesting the way the author brings all these different aspects of archaeology and ancient civilizations from all over the world together and compares them. However, what kept bothering me was I guess you would call the author's "style of writing." I read a lot of non-fiction and this book seemed less factual and logically presented. When done reading the book, I looked up the author on the internet and discovered he was never a scientist but instead a manager of a hotel that he was caught embezzling from. He wrote most of his book from prison. In later years he admitted to making up some stuff in the book and embellishing things to "make the book more interesting." So while the book is very interesting, it's not that credible.

Some of the most entertaining writing on ancient legends and woowoo theory ever. Took the world by storm at the time. One rarely sees such amazing leaps of logic. Still fun though. Anyone interested in the ancient aliens legends should read this to understand the lure of these theories.
