Another adventure for Charlie and his friends that has some surprising dark turns in it. Enjoyable, in a Roald Dahl style.

The Charlie Bones series has been part of our families summer reading this year. A must for the whole family to enjoy together. A vague touch of Harry Potter lingers through the book, but without the dark nightmare quality that the Potter series lent. A light adventure about a boy, attending a secretive school of magic. With mystic powers of his own Charlie seeks the truth about his past, and makes discoveries about both himself, his family, his friends, and life in general. This series is written so that the 7 year old can understand it and the rest of the family will still enjoy it without feeling like they are lost in the juvenile. If you like magic and family adventure, you will enjoy this series.
