Goodness, what a tear-jerker--so very emotional. I'm not a big fan of enemies-to- lovers tropes, but a marriage-of-convenience I can do. The romance is a slow burn; Charlie and Artemis's relationship focuses more on trust building. Since this was the novel that wraps up two intertwining series, a lot of family members played major parts, which sometimes watered down the romance. What pulled my heartstrings the most was that Artemis mourned the death of a dream, hence the tears. Nevertheless, it's a satisfying end for two favorite and prolific families. 4 stars.
