Charming the Highlander is the first of an enchanting series by Janet Chapman. I do love my highlanders and this series full-filled every aspect. Time travel, Modern women, Fantasy, plain ol' good feeling romance. I loved the entire series and have read it twice, it is just that good. It will make you laugh, cry, awwww and bite your nails...Once you have read Charming you WILL want to read the rest... 5 stars from me!!!

Great Book!--You can tell this is an experienced writer as she takes you through the process of explaining the start of this series without boring you. It's a time travel romance with those hunky Scotsmen I just love to read about. Chapman makes it very believable and its very hard to put down. Look forward to the next book.

I really enjoyed this book. This was the first book of this author that I read but I am very glad I tried this book. I laughed out loud at some parts and I cried at some parts. It was a very entertaining book and I'm coming back for more.

If you loved the Outlander series of time travel books you'll love the
MacKeage clan. This series has a different twist on the time travel, but you'll grow to love the characters just as you did Jaime & Claire in Outlander.
I highly recommend this series, it's the type of book you don't want to end or could read again and again.

1st in the series. I was a little bit concerned that I wouldn't get into this book, normally leaning toward paranormal books like Feehan, Ward, Veihl, etc. but this was a great read! I've read it twice. It really leads well into the other books in the series, which are equally as good. 5 stars from me!
A fiesty beauty tempted by a bold highlander's touch. When a plane crash strands brilliant scientist Grace Sutter on an icy mountaintop in Maine, she finds herself alone in the wilderness with the only other surviving passenger - Greylen MacKeage - a sexy medieval warrior who's been tossed through time to find the woman he's destined to love. Forced together to survive the harsh, wintry landscape, neither expects the fierce passion that flares between them.

Mathematical physicist Grace Sutter is overcome with grief at the loss of her sister Mary. Mary arrived on Grace's doorstep pregnant and confused after learning the truth about the man she loves. Michael MacBain claims he was born in 1171 and that he and nine other men were transported into modern times four years ago. As Mary travels back to reconcile with him, she's in a car accident and is forced to deliver her baby early. On her deathbed, Mary begs that Grace take the baby to his father.
Greylen MacKeage, Laird of the MacKeage, liked his neighbor Mary, despite her falling in love with his enemy, Michael MacBain. Returning home from a conference, Grey and Grace find themselves on the same plane. When it crashes, it is Grey's hardened survival experiences that will keep Grace and the baby alive. From the moment they meet, Grey and Grace feel a strange connection; little do they know the extremes that have been taken to bring them together.
This is a terrific time-travel book. Its emphasis is not on the traveling itself but rather on the implied destiny. CHARMING THE HIGHLANDER is wonderfully rendered and the characters vivid and compelling. A real gem of a story!

First book I've read by this author and I enjoyed this one so much, I ordered the rest in the series. A time traveler, magic story with romance, a little sex (I passed over them). Just a good story with believable characters. Nice, easy read. Enjoyed it.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I can't wait to read more! The hero was the perfect strong-yet-vulnerable type while the heroine knew what she wanted and how to get it without being overbearing. A definite "must read"!!

Another wonderful story by Janet Chapman. A time trapped medieval warrior must rescue himself and another passenger from a plane crash. The other passenger is a beautiful scientist who's not been used to letting her heart take control but now finds the challenge with the warrior.

My least favorite kind of romance...the characters feel one dimensional, they say everthing they are thinking along with what they think the other character is thinking, as if anyone ever talks like that. Sorry, didn't like this at all and despite not having anything else to read couldn't force myself to finish this.
