This book is one of those that catches you and won't let go. It takes place in a small town in Maryland, where I grew up and lived for 60+ years (Maryland, not the small town). For that reason I decided to read it, I'm glad that I did.The photos in the book really bring the story to life.Scary, truer to life, engrossing.
When I got this from the library I didn't know it was a true crime story
I gave up on true crime writers a long time ago, they all seem to think description is the most important thing? NOT! most of them are just long drawn out descriptions of the 'past' including the birth of the parents, it is so boring I just can't tolerate that style of writing anymore
I thought this one was going to be a fiction story but when I started it and realized it is told by Chizmar from his own personal life I just lost interest in it fast, I flipped through it quickly and looked at the pictures and realized it was going to be a long drawn out boring story
So I quit and returned it to the library!
