I love Elvis Cole. I just wish there were more in this series. Elvis is a PI with a smart mouth and a great sense of humor. The mysteries are well written and serious with the occasional wise crack from Elvis. This is one of my favorite series and I highly recommend it.

Elvis Cole is fun, quirky, and such a great escape! Throw a little Pike in, and what a great way to relax.

A terrific book that held my interest from beginning to end. Elvis Cole (and friend Joe Pike) is a strong, likeable hero - reminds me of Spencer and Jack Reacher. Lots of twists with a surprising ending.

A high-octane thriller, well written and a page turner. The author's books are in the Lee Child mode--i.e., tough guys on serious business. Not much in the way of romance or lightheartedness, though they are not without the occasional gimpse of humor. And they do require a certain suspension of disbelief.

Another in the series that features Elvis Cole and Joe Pike, doing their investigations in the LA area.

This one involves a decades old murder, vengence, police cover up possibilities and corruption. It builds layers of clues and information.

It is the usual high quality plot pacing and characterizations that author Crais offers in his writing.

Love to curl up with an Elvis Cole novel and this one is one of his best! Elvis finds himself at odds with the LAPD when a suspect in a series of killings (going back several years) shows up dead of an apparent suicide and with sordid pictures of the dead women at his feet.

The pictures had to have been taken at the time of the deaths, so there is no doubt in the LAPD's mind that he was indeed the serial killer and they are furious at Elvis Cole because he had found a witness to alibi the suspect and had gotten him off. It's up to Elvis and his buddy Pike to prove them wrong.
