This author's style hooked me the moment I read one of his books and this book is no different. His use of language calls to minds stormy weather that leaves the air feeling heavy and ripe. You literally yearn for the next page, the next chapter, the next book even. I love how he crafts his words and draws the story along.

Excellent book. First I've read by Charles Martin and i am looking forward to reading others. Character development was great and the story held my interest from beginning to end. Author really knows how to turn a phrase. Book is billed as a "novel of discovery" and that is a very appropriate description. Carol

Loved this story about the search for identity of two orphans, and the love another man had for them.

This is my favorite of Charles Martin's books. It deals with love lost and the choices we make how they hurt and help us. Very good read.
