Lots of good information in this one. For frugal folks, this is a great resource.

I was extremely disappointed with this book. The title Cheapskate in the Kitchen: Everything you need to know about creating fabulous meals at a fraction of the cost! is very misleading. I thought the book was going to include many frugal recipes, not so. Hearts of Palm with Shrimp salad and Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus are not cheapskate recipes to me. About one fourth of the book is basic info on how to cook. A lot of pages are devoted to cooking and shopping tips that are already very well known. To be fair I will note that the back of the book says "Big savings begin at home- in your very own gourmet kitchen If you think eating well means eating out, you're probably feeling the effects of restaurant dining- in your pocketbook. Now you can go from eating a diner in debt to making irresistible meals at home- at a fraction of the cost." However the title did not reflect this description. One more gripe, the recipe index is not user friendly it is by chapter instead of by subject or just being alphabetical.
